Hot yoga can sound intimidating. A heated room, unfamiliar poses, experienced practitioners around you. We get it. That's why we've designed every part of the Hot For Yoga experience to make your first class feel safe, welcoming, and even fun.
You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to be fit. You just need to show up. We'll take care of the rest.
Drink plenty of water the day before and morning of your class. Avoid alcohol the night before. Bring a large water bottle.
Don't eat a heavy meal within 2 hours of class. A light snack 1 hour before is fine. An empty stomach is ideal.
Close-fitting, lightweight, non-restrictive clothing. Nothing below the knees. Less is more in the heat. Shorts and a sports bra are perfect.
A yoga mat, a bath-sized towel or larger (to lay on top of your mat), and water. All available to rent or purchase at the studio.
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your first class. You'll complete a waiver, get a studio tour, and choose your spot in the room.
Reserve your spot in advance through our online booking system. Classes fill up โ especially weekends and evenings.
If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or overwhelmed, stand still, take a knee, or lay down on your mat in Savasana. This is always the right choice. Your body is adjusting to the heat.
We ask that you stay in the room for the full class, even if you're resting. Leaving disrupts the class energy and your body's heat adaptation.
Modify any pose that doesn't feel right. Our instructors will offer variations. There is no competition in this room โ only your own practice.
Please silence your phone and leave it outside the room. The studio is a sanctuary for focus and presence.
Our infrared heating feels different from a steam room or conventional hot yoga. It's a dry, radiant warmth that most people find comfortable within a few classes.
The first class is the hardest. The second is easier. By your fifth class, you'll wonder why you waited so long. Commit to at least 3 classes before judging.
Drink electrolyte-rich fluids after class. Coconut water, sports drinks, or water with a pinch of sea salt are all great options.
Your body has worked hard. Eat a nutritious meal within an hour of class. Focus on protein and healthy carbohydrates.
Many students report the best sleep of their lives after hot yoga. Allow your body to rest and absorb the benefits of your practice.
